FIRST OFF, WHY BOXING?
This question is the easiest question to answer. Boxing is one of the most challenging sports around and it is a great workout! Boxing requires power, finesse, endurance, speed and mental toughness. Boxing is a sweet science that pushes you like no other and takes you further than you ever thought possible.
“The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses—behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.” – Muhammad Ali

A fighter’s mindset is essential for these classes. You must be coachable, disciplined, dedicated, and focused. You must be on time for class and demonstrate perseverance, patience and persistence. Above all else you must be respectful and leave your ego at the door.

A Kettlebell is a unique exercise tool that resembles a cannonball with a handle, that teaches your body to engage multiple muscle groups at once which is a great way to work your entire body out in a short amount of time. The Kettlebell was developed by Russian strongmen during the early 1700s as a way to build strength, balance, flexibility and endurance quickly.
The holistic nature of a Kettlebell allows its user to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training all at the same time! Kettlebell exercises and routines use functional fitness and ballistic movements that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training that provides users with an outstanding workout that works core and major muscle groups all at the same time. Typical Kettlebell exercises quickly build muscular strength and endurance throughout the whole body by engaging the entire body at once.
The imbalanced weight of a Kettlebell can make training difficult if the appropriate technique is not correctly applied. However, while traditional weight training isolates single muscle groups, the effective use of a Kettlebell allows the user to target multiple muscle groups at the same time to increase functional strength or maximise the amount of calories burned. All of our Kettlebell instructors have been trained and certified by NZ Iron – Kettlebell Training Institute
Aim to build real strength, real fitness and real endurance by picking up a cannonball with a handle.

KIDS MMA & BOXING
Self-Confidence, Self-Defence, Coordination, Strength, Fitness, Mental Toughness..
Building future leaders…
Breakfalling, tumbling, crab soccer, bear soccer, murder-ball and other games are what you will see in our MMA4Kids classes. These are interspersed with the more traditional fitness exercises, punches, kicks, throws, pins and self-defence sequences that you would expect to see.
You will probably hear the class before you see it with all the noise that usually goes on, but through all the fun there is a serious side where the kids are learning hard and fast technique that will help them both on the street and in competition. Through our program they become confident, learn coordination, get fit and strong and can defend themselves both mentally and physically.
There are no kata, no patterns and no paper tigers. We insist that most drills are contact drills whether on padded focus pads, heavy bags, kick pads or each other. Students learn to strike properly instead of punching air for hours on end, they learn in a controlled environment how to cope with physical contact, the stress of an unforeseen attack and create the reflexes they need to cope with these situations.
